House Speaker Mike Johnson echoed this sentiment, describing the bill as "one of the most consequential pieces of legislation that Congress has passed in decades."
Trump also mentioned his recently announced tariff policy, suggesting it would add pressure on Republicans to vote for the bill. He claimed the US is "making a fortune with tariffs - $2 billion a day."
