German Air Force Assists Poland in Protecting Airspace

Edited by: S Света

The German Air Force is supporting Poland in securing its airspace. Eurofighters from the 71st Tactical Air Wing "Richthofen," stationed at Rostock-Laage Air Base in eastern Germany, will conduct protective flights in case of alarm as part of NATO's Air Policing mission. These fighters are equipped with air-to-air weaponry. Initial plans include joint training flights with the Polish Air Force. The Luftwaffe's contribution to NATO Air Policing aims to optimize processes between participating nations and strengthen operational capabilities with allies. The cooperation between Polish and German air forces demonstrates unity within the North Atlantic Alliance. German fighters have previously been deployed in the Baltic states as part of NATO Air Policing, monitoring the airspace of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
