North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Russia's war in Ukraine during a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu in Pyongyang on March 22, 2025. According to North Korean state media KCNA, Kim expressed his "firm option and unwavering will" to support Russia's defense of its national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security interests. Shoigu presented Kim with a "significant signed letter" from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the details of which were not disclosed.
