Israeli forces have resumed airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. This follows a period of ceasefire negotiations with Hamas that have reached an impasse.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported at least 330 fatalities, predominantly children and women, as a result of the recent Israeli attacks. Hundreds more are injured, with dozens in critical condition. The strikes have targeted various locations in northern and southern Gaza, including Khan Younis.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated the renewed attacks were ordered due to a lack of progress in extending the ceasefire, citing Hamas's refusal to release hostages. Hamas has condemned the attacks, claiming they violate the ceasefire agreement and endanger the hostages. The Israeli military stated it is conducting extensive strikes on Hamas targets.
