Missile Strikes Media Team on Syria-Lebanon Border; Cross-Border Clashes Intensify

A missile struck a press area on the Syria-Lebanon border, injuring a photographer and a journalist. The Saudi-owned Al Arabiya news channel broadcast footage of the incident, which reportedly occurred during filming. Syrian state news agency SANA attributed the missile launch to Hezbollah. Separately, cross-border fire between Syria and Lebanon has intensified. The Lebanese military reported exchanges of fire after three Syrian soldiers were killed in an ambush. Lebanese forces responded to attacks from Syrian territory and reinforced their presence in the border region. Communication between Lebanese and Syrian authorities is ongoing to maintain security. The Syrian government has accused Hezbollah militants of kidnapping and killing the soldiers, an allegation the group denies. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported additional Syrian soldier deaths in the clashes, and families are reportedly fleeing the bombardments.
