Homeland Security Appoints New Leadership at Immigration and Customs Enforcement

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem appointed new leadership at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Sunday. The move comes as the agency faces challenges in meeting President Trump's deportation goals. Todd Lyons, ICE's acting executive associate director, is now acting director, and Madison Sheahan, secretary of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, will serve as deputy director. Noem stated the new leadership is expected to achieve the mandate to target, arrest, and deport illegal aliens.
