High-level delegations from Turkey, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq are scheduled to convene in Amman on Sunday to discuss security cooperation and regional developments. The meeting will include foreign ministers, defense ministers or military chiefs, and heads of intelligence organizations from the four nations. Discussions will focus on cooperation in security, combating terrorism and organized crime, and addressing regional developments. This initiative follows statements from Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan regarding joint efforts to combat Islamic State in the region. Concerns about a possible resurgence of Islamic State have been raised since the ousting of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in December.
