European Nations to Discuss Joint Defense Amidst US Uncertainty; Man Charged with Murder in London; Zelensky's US Visit Sparks Debate

On Sunday, a summit of 18 European nations will convene in London to discuss a common defense strategy for the continent, considering the evolving relationship with the United States following President Zelensky's visit to the White House.

In west London, a 50-year-old man, Mugurel Nica, has been charged with the murder of 45-year-old Ana Maria Murariu. Police responded to a disturbance on Jubilee Road, Perivale, where Murariu was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. Nica is in custody and scheduled to appear in court.

President Zelensky's recent visit to Washington has ignited debate in Ukraine. While some officials emphasize the need for security guarantees and appreciate Zelensky's defense of Ukraine's position on the war, others criticize his handling of the meeting with US officials, particularly regarding discussions with Donald Trump and JD Vance. The visit has also prompted discussions about potential shifts in global perceptions of the US and the future of international support for Ukraine.
