Netherlands Pledges F-16 Fighter Jets to Ukraine Amid Ongoing Conflict

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has pledged military and political support to Ukraine, emphasizing the need for Ukraine and Europe to stand strong against Russia's aggression. He stated that Russia cannot be allowed to win the war. Ukraine anticipates receiving the first batch of F-16 fighter jets in 2025. He noted the expected delivery of F-16s within the year, emphasizing the necessity of protecting Ukrainian airspace. According to reports, the Netherlands will initially supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, with the first deliveries expected to begin in 2024. The Dutch government has pledged a total of 24 such aircraft.
