China successfully launched a Long March-6C rocket with seven satellites

On August 25 at 11:21 Beijing time, the Long March-6C carrier rocket lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province. It successfully delivered seven satellites into their designated orbits.

This was the 665th flight of the Long March series rockets. The launch proceeded normally, according to the launch center.

Among the payload are two high-resolution synthetic aperture radar satellites, Zhongke Sat-14 and Zhongke Sat-15. They are equipped with onboard cloud systems that integrate remote sensing and computing directly on the satellite.

The developer GalaxySpace notes that this integration reduces response time to a few minutes when monitoring floods or earthquakes and lowers the need for communication channel bandwidth.

The mission also includes the CubeSat GISTDA Cube Sat 1, the first complete satellite and ground system exported by GalaxySpace to Thailand. The spacecraft will collect data on land use, agriculture, and ecology, and also assist Thai universities in satellite technology training.

Another satellite, JAMX01, was built by Shanghai schoolchildren and teachers together with a specialized academy. The project aims to foster youth interest in space through practical tasks.
