Sometimes it seems that some things simply refuse to get lost.
Pragati, an Indian woman living in Japan, discovered in the evening that her iPhone 16 Pro had vanished. By all appearances, she had lost it several hours earlier.
Using the Find My feature, she managed to pinpoint the phone's location: it was about 600 meters away from her.
Pragati set off to look for the missing item when it was already almost night, and around midnight she arrived at the right place.
And the phone⦠was still lying there peacefully, right where she had left it.
But the funniest thing in this story isn't even that.
It turned out that Pragati has already lost her phone for the fifth time β and each time she gets it back.
Previously, the iPhone had turned up at a police station, at a vegetable market, and twice in store fitting rooms.
In other words, the phone practically has its own tourist itinerary around Japan.
Pragati loses it, the iPhone travels a bit β and then comes back home again.
After the fifth time, you begin to suspect that Find My here no longer works as a feature, but as a family tradition.
And yes, it seems this iPhone really does know the way home better than its owner.
