Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, special envoys of US President Donald Trump, are traveling to Moscow and Kyiv. They are carrying a proposal to end the conflict in Ukraine.

Trump confirmed: "No, they are carrying with them a proposal to end the war." According to him, the mission is aimed at understanding whether anything can be done. "There is a chance that we will resolve this," the American president added.

Negotiations in Moscow began on September 5 with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The next day, the envoys will head to Kyiv for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This is a continuation of the Trump administration's efforts to intensify diplomacy. Earlier, other contacts were reported, including a visit by the CIA director to Moscow in late August.

The information is confirmed by several outlets, including references to Axios and The New York Times. TASS sources also indicate the upcoming dates.

The question is whether these meetings will manage to move the process off dead center. The parties have not yet disclosed details of the proposal.
