On 14 October, in Mammoth Lakes, California, USA, on the very day of the centenary of the first book about Winnie-the-Pooh, a real black bear paid a visit to an American library.
And at around six in the morning, when the library was still closed.
The animal walked among the bookshelves, peeked into the staff room and discovered the employees' supplies.
The result: peanut butter, peaches, cookies were eaten and — attention — a whole jar of honey!
After breakfast, the bear inspected the new arrivals section and calmly left the building.
Not a single book was damaged.
The library staff joked that the bear was evidently looking for a work about Winnie-the-Pooh, who turned 100 years old on that very day.
For a hundred years people have been reading about a bear who loves honey. And now at last a literary critic has appeared to verify the accuracy of the plot! 😂
