Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Enables Amazon's Project Kuiper Satellite Deployment in 2025

Edited by: Tetiana Martynovska 17

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD) continues to play a crucial role in the deployment of Amazon's Project Kuiper satellites. EBAD's NEA®-based dispensing mechanisms are essential for the Amazon Kuiper constellation, as demonstrated by the successful deployment of satellites in 2025.

Project Kuiper aims to establish a constellation of over 3,200 low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. On April 28, 2025, a ULA Atlas V rocket successfully launched 27 operational satellites into orbit, marking a significant step forward. EBAD's dispensing mechanisms were instrumental in this achievement.

EBAD's contributions extend beyond dispensing mechanisms. They also provide technologies for the Atlas V rocket, including modular electronics channels, stage and fairing separation joints, and the flight termination system. EBAD is prepared to support the continued expansion of Project Kuiper with its proven technologies and dedication.
