Blue Origin's Next Flight to Feature All-Female Crew Including Katy Perry and Gayle King

Blue Origin plans to launch its next human spaceflight, NS-31, this spring, featuring an all-female crew. The mission will be the 11th human flight for Blue Origin's New Shepard program. The crew includes singer Katy Perry, journalist Gayle King, Lauren Sánchez, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn. The flight aims to carry the crew past the Kármán line, 62 miles above Earth. This marks the first all-female space crew since Valentina Tereshkova's solo flight in 1963. Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket is a reusable booster and crew capsule designed for short suborbital trips, offering passengers about four minutes of weightlessness and views of Earth.
