Jinan East Service Area in Shandong Province, China, continues to be a leader in green energy solutions, now offering 100% green energy charging for new energy vehicles in 2025. This initiative leverages 120 kW DC charging piles equipped with DC-DC modules.
The service area utilizes photovoltaic power that directly feeds the charging stations, supplemented by energy storage batteries for backup. This system ensures a completely green charging experience. Each charging pile is equipped with battery inspection capabilities, providing users with detailed reports on their battery's health.
During the Labor Day holiday in 2025, Jinan East Service Area served approximately 36,000 passengers and 11,000 vehicles daily, highlighting its capacity and efficiency. This project has established China's first zero-carbon service area. The photovoltaic system at the service area generates over 10,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity daily, equivalent to saving 1,200 tons of standard coal annually.
