In early 2025, China's automotive industry achieved unprecedented growth, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
From January to April 2025, total automobile production exceeded 10 million units, marking a 17.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Sales also surged, reaching 12.9 million units, a 10% rise year-over-year.
The New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sector experienced remarkable expansion, with production reaching 4.429 million units, a 48.3% increase. NEV sales hit 4.3 million units, demonstrating a 46.2% surge, solidifying China's leadership in next-generation vehicle production and consumption.
