May 2025, Australia: Yutong's E7S all-electric minibus has been approved for sale in Australia, with 14 and 17-seat variants set to be available. This marks a significant step for the company in the Asia-Pacific market.
The E7S has a tare weight of 6,350 kg (17-seat variant) and a gross vehicle mass of 8,500 kg. International versions are 6.96 meters long and feature a 163 kWh battery pack, providing a range of up to 300 km. The bus can carry up to 35 passengers and includes a wheelchair ramp, making it suitable for inner-city and suburban routes.
The battery is likely supplied by CATL, featuring a one-million-kilometre warranty and a service life of up to 15 years. Yutong aims to expand its presence in Australia with its 'New Energy Buses' based on Yutong Electric Architecture (YEA). Yutong has delivered over 190,000 New Energy buses globally.
