India to deploy 50 MWh of sodium-ion batteries in H2 2025

KOTA, India, April 16, 2025: Indexel Engineering partners with UNIGRID to deploy 50 MWh of sodium-ion batteries.

The deployment targets industrial hubs, renewable integration, and microgrids. Sodium-ion batteries offer a cost-effective and safer alternative to lithium-ion.

Sodium-ion batteries are non-flammable and perform well in extreme temperatures. Installations will begin in H2 2025, focusing on Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

These batteries use abundant raw materials, enhancing sustainability. The partnership aims to provide resilient and clean energy solutions.
