Nigeria Launches Solar-Powered Electric Vehicle Charging Station, Reducing Charge Time to 30 Minutes, and Innoson Unveils Domestically Produced EV.

The Nigerian government, through its Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, inaugurated a solar-powered electric vehicle charging station at the premises of the Energy Commission in Abuja, Nigeria. The station was developed in partnership with the Electric Vehicle Motor Company and utilizes a 20-kilowatt lithium battery and a BVA intelligent inverter to charge the vehicle in approximately 30 minutes. The station can be powered by either solar panels or the public electricity grid.

In related news, Innoson unveiled their first domestic electric vehicle at their manufacturing facility in Newi, Anambra State.
