Whatsapp Enhances Privacy and Simplifies Voice Notes

Edited by: Veronika Nazarova

WhatsApp is rolling out several updates to enhance user experience and security. These changes include advanced privacy settings, simplified voice note recording, browser-based calls, and flexible group creation. The updates aim to provide users with more control and convenience. WhatsApp's new 'Advanced Chat Privacy' feature restricts what participants can do with shared content. It prevents forwarding, copying, exporting, or processing of media by external apps. Users can activate this feature in individual or group chats. The platform is simplifying voice note recording. A single tap on the microphone icon will start recording, activating a lock mode. Users can send the message by tapping the green arrow icon. WhatsApp now allows users to make and receive calls directly from web browsers like Chrome and Safari. This unifies the calling experience across devices. No additional programs are needed. Group creation is becoming more flexible. Users can now create a group without adding participants initially. This allows for configuring the group's name and profile picture before inviting members.
