ICANN to Host APAC DNS Forum in Hanoi, Vietnam, Co-Located with CP Summit and UA Day

Edited by: Veronika Nazarova

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) will host its fourth Domain Name System (DNS) Forum in Hanoi, Vietnam, from May 8-9, 2025. The event will be co-located with the Contracted Parties (CP) Summit (May 5-7) and Universal Acceptance (UA) Day 2025.

The forum focuses on building a more multilingual internet, as language and script diversity in the DNS are key to reaching hundreds of millions more users globally. Experts will discuss the internet's future and initiatives to bring the next billion users online.

A key session will explore the 20-year review of the World Summit on the Information Society outcomes (WSIS+20). ICANN leaders, VNNIC representatives, and industry experts will attend to cover domain name development, DNS security, and the role of ccTLDs in promoting internet access for all.
