Anthropic's Claude AI Integrates with Google Workspace and Introduces Research Mode

Edited by: Veronika Nazarova

Anthropic has launched new features for its Claude AI assistant, integrating it with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs. This update allows Claude to provide more personalized responses by scanning emails, calendar events, and documents. The company also introduced a new research mode enabling Claude to conduct comprehensive internet research. Currently, Google Workspace integration is available only to paid Max, Team, and Enterprise users, with a beta release planned for Pro plan users soon. Account administrators need to activate the integration. Anthropic emphasizes that user data is not used for model training and each account is secured with separate authentication processes. The "research mode" allows Claude to gather in-depth information by conducting multiple internet searches when responding to a query. This feature aims to provide quick yet detailed answers and is currently in beta for top-tier users in the US, Japan, and Brazil. These updates aim to transform Claude into a more functional and productive assistant.
