Bitget, a leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, has announced the upcoming LaunchX event for Jambo, the world's largest on-chain mobile network. Jambo aims to raise $5 million through a token sale on Bitget LaunchX to fund its satellite launch program, which is designed to connect a global network of JamboPhones and expand access to decentralized services.
The satellite initiative represents a significant step towards vertically integrating borderless data access for JamboPhone users worldwide. Jambo is already a global leader in the blockchain ecosystem, thanks to its $99 crypto-native smartphone, the JamboPhone, which has sold over 700,000 units in 2024 alone.
The JamboPhone is an affordable, high-spec device pre-installed with Web3 applications, allowing users to engage in decentralized finance, gaming, and earning opportunities. The satellite program aims to provide uninterrupted data access, even in remote areas with limited internet connectivity, thus empowering crypto adoption for over 3 billion people who currently lack reliable internet access.
James Zhang, CEO of Jambo, emphasized that owning their connectivity infrastructure will ensure users remain connected to the decentralized economy. The new program also opens up possibilities for blockchain-based mobile applications.
Jambo ($J) is the second project featured on Bitget LaunchX, following the successful launch of Fuel Network ($FUEL), which raised $5.5 million with over 400 million USDT committed from 141,430 participants.
