Megaport Expands Connectivity Services to Brazil

Megaport Limited, a leading Network as a Service (NaaS) provider, has officially expanded its services into Brazil, establishing connectivity in São Paulo. This move enables enterprises to connect securely between over 860 global data center locations, 26 Internet Exchanges, and 410+ service providers, including major cloud providers, in under 60 seconds.

The launch enhances Megaport's global footprint across five continents and 26 countries, offering interconnection services at four São Paulo locations: Equinix SP2, Equinix SP4, Elea Digital SPO1, and Takoda SP1. Brazilian businesses can now benefit from operational efficiency and global expansion opportunities, while multinational firms can seamlessly connect to Brazil.

Despite Brazil's advanced digital infrastructure, slow telecommunications provisioning has hindered business innovation. Megaport aims to address this by providing rapid deployments, global connectivity speeds of up to 100 Gbps, and scalable network infrastructure through a self-service portal and API.

CEO Michael Reid stated, 'We're excited to bring the network revolution to Brazil, empowering both local and global customers.' The company's Brazil office will be led by Adriano Bueno Rodrigues, who brings over 20 years of experience in networking and telecommunications.

With this expansion, Megaport is poised to enhance Brazil's connectivity landscape, enabling faster innovation and growth for local customers while unlocking new opportunities for international businesses in Latin America.
