Pepper Robot Calms Children in Brussels Emergency Room

Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

UZ Brussels employs Pepper robot to ease children's anxiety in the emergency room. Pepper, a social robot from the ROBO-CURE project, communicates in Dutch and French. It greets children, displays information on its screen, and responds to hugs. Pepper aims to free up medical staff and improve patient care. UZ Brussels considers expanding Pepper's role to pediatric wards if successful.
