Microsoft has introduced its latest Surface models, emphasizing sleek design and competitive pricing. These devices aim to deliver both performance and value. The lineup includes a 12-inch Surface Pro and a 13-inch Surface Laptop, with prices starting below $1,000. The 2025 Surface Pro is priced $200 lower than its predecessor and weighs 1.5 pounds. It features a 12-inch display and runs on the Snapdragon X Plus chip, an eight-core ARM-based processor. Microsoft claims the Snapdragon X Plus chip outperforms the M3 MacBook Air in certain benchmarks. The Surface Pro offers approximately 12 hours of active web browsing, while the Surface Laptop provides up to 16 hours of battery life. The new Surface Pro replaces the Surface Connect port with USB-C, supporting 45W fast charging. The Slim Pen is now stored on the tablet's rear, not in the keyboard. Older Surface models with Surface Connect will remain available. The new models come in various colors, including a new violet option.
