Rumors suggest the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 could feature an ultra-thin design. Leaks indicate it might measure only 8.2mm when folded and approximately 4.5mm when unfolded. This would make it thinner than the current Galaxy Z Fold 6, which measures 12.1mm when folded.
Achieving an ultra-thin design presents challenges. These include optimizing camera placement and maintaining port availability. To compensate, manufacturers may explore protruding cameras or rely more heavily on wireless charging.
Other rumored features include larger displays, potentially an 8-inch foldable screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen. The phone may also feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and run on Android 15-based One UI 7. It is anticipated that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be launched in July 2025.
