Edited by: Tetiana Pinchuk Pinchuk

Harbor Innovations, in partnership with Hannspree, is launching the Paper 7, an e-paper tablet featuring a 7.8-inch 768 x 1024 reflective RLCD panel. This display technology eliminates backlight, reducing eye strain and improving readability in bright conditions. The RLCD panel reflects ambient light, consuming less power and producing less heat than LCDs. It boasts a 60 Hz refresh rate and supports 16.77 million colors, offering a viable alternative to E Ink displays, though with reduced color vividness. The Paper 7 includes an octa-core MediaTek Helio P75 SoC, Arm Mail-G52 MC2 GPU, 8 GB of memory, and 256 GB of eMMC storage. It features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, and a stylus with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The device runs Android 14, weighs 242 grams, is 5.5mm thick, and has a 3100mAh battery. Slated for release in May 2025, it will cost US$299.
