Windows 11 Enhances Voice Control with AI, Offers Hardware Insights, and Improves Gamepad Virtual Keyboard

Microsoft is enhancing Windows 11 with several key updates:

  • AI-Powered Voice Control: A new Windows 11 preview build introduces AI-driven voice control, allowing for more natural and flexible voice commands without strict syntax. This is available for ARM-based Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon chipsets via the Windows 11 Insider Program.

  • Hardware Information: The Insider Preview version of Windows 11 includes a fact box in settings that informs users about their computer's components, such as primary memory and graphics card, and how they affect performance. This feature is located under Settings > System > About.

  • Gamepad Virtual Keyboard: Windows 11 is updating with a new virtual keyboard for gamepads, featuring Xbox controller shortcuts like X for delete and stick press for caps lock. This aims to adapt Windows 11 for handheld PC gaming devices.
