Samsung Expands Galaxy Trade-In Program

Edited by: Xelena S

Samsung announces an update to its Galaxy Trade-In Program, allowing year-round device exchanges without the requirement of purchasing a new phone.

Initially designed for trading specific devices for instant credit towards new Galaxy products, the program aims to enhance the value of Galaxy devices and promote a circular economy.

This update will first be tested in South Korea and France, with plans for expansion to additional regions throughout 2025.

Managed by Likewize, the program currently accepts select devices, including Galaxy S23, S22, S21, S20 series, Z Fold 5, Fold 4, Fold 3, Flip 5, Flip 4, and Flip 3.

Details on how trade-in values will be compensated for customers not buying a new device remain unclear, although credit usage appears limited to select locations.
