BYD has started sales in Romania, opening its first showroom in Bucharest in partnership with Tiriac Auto and DAB Auto. The company plans to expand to over 30 dealerships in major cities by the end of 2025. The Romanian market will feature electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, including the Sealion 7, Seal sedan, Seal U DM-i hybrid SUV, and Atto 2. This lineup is tailored to EU tax conditions, with electric vehicles from China facing a 27% tariff and hybrids a 10% tariff.
