Jeep has officially revealed the new-generation Compass SUV, based on the STLA Medium architecture. It shares some powertrains with models like the Citroen C5 Aircross but retains Jeep's off-road capabilities.
The new Compass features a boxier design with squared-out elements and upright proportions. It includes lighting integrated into the grille and taillights. All-wheel drive variants have unique wheel designs and bumpers.
The Compass offers approach, departure, and breakover angles of 20, 26, and 15 degrees, respectively. Ground clearance is 200 mm, with a water wading depth of 470 mm. Overland models improve these figures with a raised suspension of 10 mm.
The new Compass is 4.55 meters long, providing 55 mm more legroom and 45 liters of additional boot space (550 liters total). It includes a 10-inch digital instrument display, 16-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charging, and Level 2 ADAS.
Powertrain options include a 48-volt mild-hybrid (143 bhp), a strong hybrid (192 bhp), and three all-electric drivetrains. The all-wheel drive 4xe features a 49 kW electric motor on the rear axle, boosting peak power to 370 bhp.
The all-electric Compass supports up to 22 kW AC and 160 kW DC fast charging, with a driving range of up to 650 km. The new Compass is expected to launch by Q4 2025.
