Ferrari will unveil its first EV, the Ferrari Elettrica, at its Capital Markets Day on October 9.
The company emphasizes in-house development, with key electric components developed and handcrafted in Maranello. Ferrari opened its E-Cells Lab with the University of Bologna and NXP to enhance knowledge of lithium cells and has filed 200 battery-related patents.
The EV may take the shape of a hatchback-like crossover with four doors and feature a sound reproduction device to mimic an ICE powertrain.
