Lion Smart and Hofer Powertrain Partner to Advance Immersion-Cooled Battery Systems

Lion Smart and Hofer Powertrain are collaborating to accelerate the development and launch of immersion-cooled battery systems. The partnership combines Hofer's expertise in battery system development and validation with Lion Smart's immersion-cooled battery technology and modular platform solutions. The goal is to develop high-potential immersion-cooled battery systems, building on Lion Smart's previous work on a 400-volt immersion-cooled battery, successfully tested in July 2024 by a German premium vehicle manufacturer. Hofer Powertrain, specializing in electric drives with 16 locations globally, aims to integrate Lion Smart's technology into industrial applications.
