Volkswagen Plans Affordable EV: ID.Every1 Concept Unveiled

Volkswagen is targeting the ID.Every1 concept for its upcoming entry-level EV, aiming to make electric mobility more accessible. The company plans to introduce the ID.2 and ID.1, with the ID.Every1 serving as a preview of the final design. The ID.1, expected around 2027, will have a starting price of approximately €20,000. The ID.Every1 concept signals a new era for Volkswagen's small electric cars, succeeding the e-up. Slightly larger than its predecessor at 3880 mm in length, it offers a 280 mm longer wheelbase. The design incorporates elements reminiscent of the classic Golf, with a sporty touch inspired by the GTI. It features 19-inch wheels and an interior comparable to the Polo, with a trunk space of 305 liters. Equipped with a 94 hp electric motor, the ID.Every1 has a top speed of 130 km/h and an estimated range of 250 km. It utilizes the MEB platform, similar to the larger ID.2, expected to launch sooner. Future models may include a GTI version and a crossover variant, the ID.2X. Volkswagen aims to attract a wider audience and lead the affordable EV market within two years.
