IBM Unveils Power11 Processors with Enhanced AI Capabilities

Edited by: Veronika Radoslavskaya

IBM has launched its Power11 processors, the first major update to its "Power" line since 2020. These processors are designed to boost AI integration in business operations.

The Power11 processors offer improved performance, with higher clock speeds and up to 25% more cores per chip. They also feature enhanced reliability and security, designed to quickly detect and respond to ransomware attacks.

The new processors incorporate the Matrix-Math Accelerator (MMA) architecture, improving AI inference workloads. IBM plans to integrate the IBM Spyre Accelerator for additional AI inferencing. Power11 systems are slated for release on July 25, 2025.
