CoRover Launches BharatGPT Mini, India's First Offline Multilingual AI Model

Edited by: Veronika Radoslavskaya

CoRover, a Bengaluru-based conversational AI company, has introduced BharatGPT Mini, a lightweight Small Language Model (SLM) designed for low-infrastructure environments. Officially launched at VivaTech Paris 2025, the event was attended by Shri Jitin Prasada, Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT.

BharatGPT Mini is engineered to operate offline, making it suitable for regions with limited internet connectivity. It supports 14 Indic languages, enabling users to access essential services such as healthcare, education, government services, and banking in their native languages without relying on cloud infrastructure.

The model is optimized for deployment on low-end devices, addressing the need for privacy-focused AI solutions that do not depend on cloud services. This design ensures that data processing remains secure and localized, aligning with India's goals of data sovereignty and digital inclusion.

CoRover anticipates a significant increase in the adoption of Small Language Models among small and medium-sized businesses by the fiscal year 2026. The company envisions BharatGPT Mini as a catalyst for democratizing access to intelligent conversational AI agents, particularly in underserved regions.

Initially, BharatGPT Mini is available through CoRover's no-code platform, CoRover Builder, allowing users to create AI assistants across text, voice, and video channels without requiring technical expertise. This approach aims to empower businesses and public institutions to deploy AI solutions efficiently and effectively.
