Baidu Launches Ernie 4.5 Turbo and Ernie X1 Turbo AI Models in China

Beijing - Baidu has launched two new AI chatbot models, Ernie 4.5 Turbo and Ernie X1 Turbo. The announcement comes amid increasing competition in China's AI sector. These models aim to enhance reasoning and reduce inaccuracies. Ernie 4.5 Turbo is the firm's base model, while Ernie X1 Turbo is its deep reasoning platform. According to Baidu CEO Robin Li, the models have increased memory capacity and optimized inference engines. This improves reasoning capabilities and reduces 'hallucinations'. Both systems can create and manage digital agents for customer service, data analysis, and automated information review. This initiative aligns with Baidu's plan to accelerate AI development amid competition from companies like DeepSeek, Alibaba, Tencent, and ByteDance.
