IBM's BeeAI Platform Enables Seamless AI Agent Collaboration

Edited by: Veronika Nazarova

IBM Research has launched a redesigned multi-agent experimental platform, BeeAI, designed to streamline the integration and orchestration of diverse AI agents.

The platform allows developers to run open-source AI agents from various frameworks and coding languages, facilitating collaboration through IBM's Agent Communication Protocol (ACP). BeeAI simplifies the process of finding, integrating, and managing AI agents, regardless of their origin or programming language. The ACP, currently in pre-alpha, builds upon Anthropic's Model Communication Protocol (MCP) and aims to standardize agent discovery, task delegation, and interoperability.

Users can access popular open-source agents like Aider and GPT-Researcher through BeeAI, enhancing capabilities such as code editing and research organization.
