Figure AI Opens Robot Factory, Aims for 12,000 Humanoids Annually

Edited by: Veronika Nazarova

Sunnyvale, California - Figure AI has launched BotQ, a dedicated factory for humanoid robot production.

The facility aims to produce up to 12,000 robots annually, with plans for future expansion.

Figure AI's robots, including the Figure O2, are designed for repetitive tasks and can converse with humans using AI models developed with OpenAI. The factory employs vertical integration and a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for efficient production.

Figure AI plans to use its own robots to manufacture more robots, increasing automation and reducing human involvement in repetitive tasks.
