Yandex Introduces AI Tools for Educators, Enhancing Learning Experience

Yandex Education has launched new AI-powered tools designed to assist teachers in various tasks, including test creation, assignment review, and plagiarism detection. These tools, based on the YandexGPT model, aim to streamline educational processes and are already accessible within the Yandex Education platform. The AI assistant helps teachers create lesson plans, select individualized assignments, and explain complex terms. Yandex is actively collaborating with universities, including a pilot project with the Higher School of Economics (HSE) where students used YandexGPT for writing theses. In December 2024, Yandex and MIPT trained an AI to evaluate works from the "Lomonosov Tournament" school Olympiad, checking 35,000 works in physics, chemistry, and astronomy, reducing the review time from three months to one.
