Apple plans to invest $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years, with a significant portion dedicated to building AI server facilities to power its Apple Intelligence initiative. The investment, announced in Houston, Texas, includes a new advanced manufacturing facility and aims to create up to 20,000 jobs. This move is partly influenced by trade tariffs, prompting Apple to shift some manufacturing to the U.S. to avoid import duties. The investment also encompasses expanding teams and facilities across multiple states, doubling the U.S. Advanced Manufacturing Fund, and accelerating investments in AI and silicon engineering. Apple says it paid more than $75 billion in U.S. taxes over the past five years, including $19 billion in 2024 alone.
