The Israeli Ministry of Education announced today that 2025 will be designated as the Year of Artificial Intelligence in the education system. This initiative, led by Education Minister Yoav Kisch, aims to integrate AI tools into teaching, learning, and educational management.

According to Minister Kisch, the goal is to combine advanced technology with educational values, providing every student with equal opportunities to excel in a changing job market and enhancing Israel's technological edge.

The ministry has been developing lesson plans and professional training for teachers to make AI accessible to students and educators across all age groups and sectors of Israeli society.

This unprecedented initiative is supported by major technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Intel, and involves recruiting thousands of mentors from Israel's high-tech industry. Today, an event titled 'AI Connect for Education' will take place in collaboration with Google, where thousands of students and educators will be introduced to advanced generative AI tools.

Merav Zaraviv, head of the Ministry of Education's Innovation and Technology Administration, emphasized that the program aims to blend technological innovation with educational values: 'The collaboration between teachers, students, and the high-tech industry highlights our commitment to lead significant change and shape the future of education in Israel.'
