Amp Robotics Secures $91 Million to Automate Recycling Facilities

Edited by: Ольга Паничкина

Amp Robotics has secured $91 million in funding to enhance its automated recycling operations. The company has shifted its focus from individual robots to managing entire recycling facilities.

With around 400 robots deployed, Amp operates three facilities and plans to open another. The technology utilizes AI and cameras to identify recyclable materials, allowing robotic arms to sort waste efficiently.

This funding round, led by Congruent Ventures, highlights the ongoing challenges in fundraising for mid- to late-stage startups, as it is smaller than the previous round which raised $104 million.
