Italian athletes from Polisportiva del Finale excelled at the IKMF (International Kettlebell Marathon Federation) World Championships, held in Palma de Mallorca from May 2nd to 4th. The team, representing the Only Kettlebell section, showcased their prowess across various disciplines.
Christian Borghello secured gold in the Open +85 Kg Half Marathon Snatch, completing 491 repetitions with a 28 Kg kettlebell. Luca Mambelli also achieved gold in the Double Pentathlon Open (70-77 Kg), earning 593 points and the title of MASTER SPORT INTERNATIONAL CLASS. Alice Dorotea Colella won gold in the Open +70 Kg Half Marathon Snatch with 525 repetitions using an 18 Kg kettlebell.
Joshua Viola earned silver in the Double Pentathlon Open (77-84 Kg), achieving 530 points and the MASTER SPORT WORLD CLASS qualification. Additional silver medals were secured by Francesco Della Rocca in the Half Marathon Long Cycle (24 Kg) with 388 repetitions, and Francesca Artini in the Half Marathon Jerk (20 Kg) with 555 repetitions. Eleonora Focaccia took home bronze in the Open -60 Kg Half Marathon Snatch with 488 repetitions using a 12 Kg kettlebell. Alberto Rato totaled 357 repetitions in the One Arm Half Snatch with a 24 Kg kettlebell.
