Local fitness enthusiast Brady Jamrozek is set to attempt a new world record for the most burpees completed in a 24-hour period. The challenge will commence on April 19th at CrossFit Junction, with Jamrozek aiming to surpass the current Guinness World Record of 11,988 burpees, held by Brian Reyelt. Jamrozek's strategy involves maintaining an average of approximately eight repetitions per minute, factoring in minimal break times. Upon completion of the 24-hour feat, documentation will be submitted to Guinness World Records for official review and verification. Beyond the physical challenge, Jamrozek's endeavor carries significant personal meaning. He intends to raise funds for a relative battling breast cancer and honor the memory of the CrossFit gym's owner, who recently passed away. The event will be livestreamed and open to the public.
