The New York Yankees lead the league with a valuation of $8.39 billion. Following closely behind are the Los Angeles Dodgers, valued at $7.73 billion. The Boston Red Sox ($6.03 billion), Chicago Cubs ($5.69 billion), and San Francisco Giants ($4.2 billion) round out the top five. Sportico noted the significant investment return enjoyed by the Steinbrenner family, who purchased the Yankees in 1973 for $8.8 million, equivalent to approximately $66 million today. The average valuation across all 30 MLB teams stands at $2.82 billion.
