Colombia's national baseball team has qualified for the 2026 World Baseball Classic after an undefeated run in the qualifying tournament held in Tucson, Arizona. This marks their third appearance in the prestigious international competition. The team secured their spot with three consecutive victories against Brazil (5-0), China (8-1), and Germany (10-0), finishing first in the qualifier. The Colombian team demonstrated dominance throughout the tournament, scoring a total of 23 runs while allowing only one. Their final victory against Germany was sealed by the mercy rule, triggered by a 10-run lead in the seventh inning.
