Laudun-l'Ardoise to Host the French Sport Boules Championship on August 30-31, 2024

The French Sport Boules Championship is scheduled to take place on August 30 and 31 at the Lascours sports complex in Laudun-l'Ardoise. This marks the first time the Gard region has been selected to host this national competition. The event will encompass individual championships from the first to fourth divisions.

The announcement was made by Bernard Daubard, president of the French Sport Boules Federation, during a visit to the stabilized terrains of the Lascours sports complex. The venue is equipped to accommodate the anticipated 360 players and 2,000 visitors. The competition will feature pool phases followed by direct elimination rounds. Categories including U15 (mixed), U18 girls, and U18 boys will also compete for their respective French championships concurrently with the adult divisions.

Approximately one hundred playing areas will be marked on the grounds. A commercial village featuring local businesses and producers will be present. The event's organization involves a budget of approximately 50,000 euros, supported by the French Sport Boules Federation, the Gard committee, sponsors, and partners. Around sixty volunteers will be mobilized to ensure the success of this national competition.
